Ms. Ashley graduated in 2012 from Westfield State University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in reading. Before joining the St. Joan staff she owned a daycare for 5 years.

Ms. Audra Raymond received her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Springfield Technical Community College.
Ms. Raymond is a 2013 graduate of St. Joan of Arc School.

Miss Grondin graduated in 2004 from Lasell College with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She has her Master's Degree from the College of Our Lady of the Elms in Education Studies. She has 18 years of teaching experience.

Miss Rose attended Baypath College where she received her B.A. in Elementary Education, and her M.S. in Special Education. She is teaching first grade at SJA this year and has experience teaching kindergarten through fourth.

Mrs. Debra Sherburne lives in Holyoke with her husband, daughter Sage and 3 dogs named Nina, Bumblebee and Cricket. She graduated from Elms College and Umass and has been a teacher for 30+ years.

Ashley Skawinski~Gr. 3

Mrs. Skawinski graduated from Bay Path University with a B.S. in Accounting and from Western New England University with an M.B.A. She previously taught in Springfield and most recently in East Longmeadow, working with children of all ages. Outside of teaching, she enjoys attending Thunderbirds games, DIY projects, and traveling, as well as spending time outdoors with her husband and two young boys, Blake and Boone.
Mrs. Skawinski is a 2005 graduate of St. Joan of Arc School.

Mrs. Linda Rivera is a graduate of Holyoke Community College where she received an Associate's degree in English Literature. She continued her education at Our Lady of the Elms College and received her B.A. in Education.

Frank Boisvere - Math 5-8

Mr. Boisvere earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Nichols College in Dudley, Mass and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from UMASS Amherst. He taught both High School and Middle School Math in Volusia County Florida for 17 years.

Mrs. Fitzgerald grew up in Springfield and graduated from Cathedral High School. She attended Jacksonville University in Florida and graduated with a B.S. in Exceptional Student Education. Mrs. Fitzgerald taught Special Education in Florida, Agawam, Holyoke, and Springfield.

Ron Oparowski - English 5-8
Mr. Oparowski graduated from the University of Hartford with a BA in Special Education. He has worked with a variety of student populations including students with severe developmental delays, behavioral challenges, as well as middle and high school aged students. Ron lives in South Hadley with his wife and two boys Griffin and Brody, who are students at St. Joan of Arc School. His interests include reading, golfing, cooking and gardening.

Jason Gilberti - 5-8 History

Mr. Gilberti is a 2023 graduate of Westfield State, with a degree in History Education. He is currently working on his Masters in history. His interests include reading, watching movies/tv (especially if it involves history), and practicing karate.

Sean Hurt - Computer Teacher /IT

After graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Westfield, Mr. Hurt joined the US Navy as a Mass Communication Specialist. He brings nearly two decades of experience in television, photography, and graphic design to the classroom to keep our students on the cutting edge of communications technology. In 2015 he was selected to serve as the personal photographer to the Secretary of Defense, and later that year was awarded the title Navy Photographer of the Year. His hobbies include auto racing, photography, and the trading card game, Magic: the Gathering.

Jeff Braz - Music - Pre-k - 8

Mr. Braz received a Bachelor's degree in Communications from UMass Amherst with a background in Art. He came to St. Joan of Arc School from the Ludlow School System. He is also a professional musician and enjoys performing in various establishments throughout the northeast.

Mr. Moore is a 1980 graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Physical Education and Exercise Sciences. He is retired as a Recreation Director for the State of CT and has been a physical educator for 15+ years.

Mrs. Salvador-MacAdam holds an Associate's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting with a special interest in Deaf Culture and American Sign Language.

Mrs. Nuala Sullivan went to Fitchburg State University, Smith College and UCONN. Mrs. Sullivan has worked with many different populations in the realm of social work including counseling, supporting and helping students navigate social/emotional learning.

Miss Rose is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies/ Youth Ministry from Cairn University. She works with the Youth Ministry at her church and has had experience with working with tweens and teens through many different ministry opportunities. She enjoys reading, sports, and spending time outdoors.
